Realizing the Vision
Since 2003, the Hyde Park Arts Initiative (HPAI) and the Southwest Boston Community Development Corporation (SWBCDC) have developed partnerships with neighborhood arts organizations, non-profit business groups, local business owners, individual artists, and residents to develop a vision for Hyde Park's central commerce district, Cleary and Logan Square. Our goal is to utilize and build on the growing arts activity in Hyde Park to spur economic development and create a destination for residents from the neighborhood and the surrounding communities.
We envision a combination of shops and independently-owned businesses including artists' and crafts studios, restaurants, music venues, and galleries that would create an active and lively downtown area.
