Let the Hyde Park YMCA Camp Sayre bring out the best in your child—having fun while learning hands-on about caring, valuing honesty, learning about respect and responsibility for others. Hyde Park YMCA Camp Sayre is located in the Blue Hills of Milton and is open to boys and girls ages 6-12. This camp is a collaboration of the Hyde Park Family YMCA and Boston Minuteman Council—Boy Scouts of America. This camp combines the mission and values of both organizations. The activities in Camp Sayre assist youth in building strength of mind, body, and spirit while learning positive values and skills that will last a lifetime.

Hyde Park Family YMCA Summer Camps 2008
Pre & Post Camp: $50 per week for extended day (8am-6pm)
Scamper Camp (ages 3-5)
$350/session for Y members, $400/session community rate
A fun, safe and nurturing experience for young children between the ages of 3-5 that allows them to explore their neighborhood, play with friends, and participate in a variety of hands on activities. While on-site the children will participate in: opening circle activities, art projects, reading circle, library visits, group games, swimming 2 times a week at our on-site indoor pool, nap time, hands-on science and singing. The children will go off site once a week for a fun and educational field trip to places like: The Swan Boats, Herbert’s Chocolate Factory, the library for story time, or other area attractions. Staff ratio for our young children is 1 staff per every 5 children.
Adventure Camp (ages 6-8)
$340/session for Y members, $400/session community rate
A fun and adventurous experience for children ages 6-8 that engages children in a variety of exciting hands–on activities and field trips, including a visit to Battleship Cove, an exciting Pawtucket Red Sox game, a day at George’s Island, and a weekly beach trip. Staff ratio is 1 staff per every 10 children.
Extreme Camp (ages 9-12)
$340/session for Y members, $400/session community rate
An extremely enriching experience for children ages 9-12 in which they will explore Boston and its surrounding areas through activities and field trips, including a tour of Fenway Park, Patriot’s Training Camp, rock-climbing, and a weekly beach trip. This camp will have two focuses this year. They are Sports and Arts. During on-site days, the children will get to choose which section of the camp they would like to participate in. Staff ratio is 1 staff per every 10 children.
