About Hyde Park
Arts Initiative
The Hyde Park Arts Initiative (HPAI) is a partnership of neighborhood arts organizations, non-profit business groups, local busines owners, and individual artists and residents. Our goal is to utilize and build on the growing arts activity in Hyde Park to spur economic development in Hyde Park's central area of commerce, and to create a destination for residents from the neighborhood and the surrounding communities.
HPAI's long-range goal is to transform Cleary/Logan Square into a commercial center attractive to both long-time and newly arrived residents of Hyde Park, and to the larger community in Southwest Boston and beyond. Short-term goals are to promote existing arts venues and community-wide arts events in order to bring patrons into Logan/Clear Square; to provide access to technical support for local artists and arts related businesses; to increase the number of artists of color in the HPAI; and to enrich community life by providing opportunities for residents of all ages, incomes, and ethnic backgrounds to participate in art and cultural activities.
